University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Foundation Trust is a large organisation covering a geographical area of 1,000 square miles of a mixed urban and rural nature. The area stretches from Grasmere in the north to Garstang in the south and Barrow in Furness in the west and across the Yorkshire border to the east. There is a resident population of around 310,000 and a catchment population of 350,000. The area has 17 million visitors a year, mainly to the South Lakeland area.
The Trust is situated on the edge of the Lake District and provides acute hospital care to the local population. We are going from strength to strength to ensure our patients are cared for by compassionate, dedicated teams who offer safe, personalised care every time.
Following significant investment into our nurse to patient ratios we are looking for experienced and newly registered nurses to join our clinical Divisions. Opportunities are available in A&E, acute and elderly medicine, surgery and critical care in both our Barrow and Lancaster hospitals. Posts are also available for experienced paediatric nurses to work in the A&E department in Lancaster.
