The North West Cystic Fibrosis Centre has an exciting opportunity for an experienced adult respiratory nurse to join a dedicated team of medical, nursing, physiotherapy, dietetic, psychology and administration staff.
The North West Cystic Fibrosis Centre at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire (UHNS) provides a specialist service for children, young people and adults who have cystic fibrosis living within North Staffordshire, Burton and Shropshire. The UHNS’s £400 million new build provides dedicated adult Cystic Fibrosis inpatient beds within a new 32 bedded adult respiratory ward and outpatient services within the new facility. As this specialised service moves into new ways of working this is an ideal time to join this forward thinking team.
The North West Cystic Fibrosis Centre is driven to raise the standards of care for this patient population across the network and we are looking for a candidate who has excellent communication, interpersonal, clinical and leadership skills to who can be influential in driving this service forward. This post will demand an autonomous, enthusiastic practitioner with sound knowledge of Cystic Fibrosis who can demonstrate strong leadership skills that will help drive specialist CF care across both inpatient, outpatient and community services.
This post will offer an opportunity to develop clinical expertise in all aspects of the cystic fibrosis care across community and secondary care settings. Every consideration will be given to continuing professional development.
