Theatre Practitioner - Fixed Term Contract

My client has a new opportunity for a Theatre Practitioner on a one year contract (maternity cover) to join their multidisciplinary team.

My client is a state of the art facility and provides high quality specialist treatments in 9 specialities for the people of Hampshire: Ear, nose and throat, endoscopy, general surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmology, oral surgery, orthopaedics, pain management and urology.
 
Key Responsibilities

You will work under the Theatre Manager to provide a high standard of patient care and safety

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will:
• Lead the scrub team to meet the requirements of quality patient care, ensuring that all peri-operative nursing care activities carried out comply with relevant legislation and Company policies and procedures
• Ensure that all procedures performed meet individual patient needs, reflect good practice and are provided by means of appropriate equipment, within the agreed patient care pathways
• Ensure that patients made informed decisions about their surgery and that consent meets legal requirements
• Ensure that the cleanliness and hygiene of the theatre complex is maintained, adhering to infection control policies and procedures, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
 
Additional Information
Relevant theatre experience as a scrub practitioner. Evidence of competence as a scrub practitioner Enhanced CRB
