Our client, a major player in the UK and overseas clinical trials sector, is currently seeking a Research Nurse to join its successful and established Research Centre in Reading, working 26 hours p/wk over 3-4 days Mon-Fri, on a 6-month fixed-term contract, to cover maternity leave.
The successful applicant will be expected to play a key role in the recruitment and subsequent care of volunteer patients in a variety of clinical trials, ensuring Good Clinical Practice (GCP) at all times.
NMC registered and with minimum two years’ post qualification experience gained from within a research, hospital or practice/community environment, applicants will be organised, enthusiastic team players with excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with patients positively and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Venepuncture and cannulation skills are essential and previous clinical research experience would be highly advantageous.
The post-holder will also be expected to demonstrate a proactive approach to patient recruitment, along with a proven aptitude for collecting and recording high-quality data efficiently and accurately.
A five-day working week (8.30am -5pm, Mon-Fri) and competitive annual salary (£25k p.a. pro rata) await the successful applicant.
