Salary:             Negotiable

Location:         Central Manchester       

Hours:              Full time, permanent – 37.5 – Monday to Friday (No shift work)

Description:

We are actively looking to recruit a full time, permanent Theatre Nurse Consultant to work as part of our recruitment team.  You will be responsible for interviewing Theatre Nurses and  ODP’s who wish to register with our agency for temporary agency shifts.  You will also be responsible for managing annual appraisals and some compliance alongside the Senior Nurse Recruiter.  You will also be part of the team who manage any clinical complaints that may come into the office with the support and guidance from the Clinical Director.

 Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Interviewing nd supporting Theatre Nurses and ODP’s in accordance with NHS Buying Solutions nd CQC minimum standards for Nursing Agencies, as directed by the PULSE written recruitment procedures
  • Maintaining and developing the nurse database and ensuring that the use of IQX and associated systems is carried out according to company guidelines and procedures and that all compliance requirements are met
  • Adhering to employment legislation
  • Support the ongoing focus on the achievement of targets
  • Maintaining and supporting existing clients
  • Ensuring all documented communication with clients is closely monitored
  • Ensuring the use of the IQX system enables the Recruitment Team to identify nurses to be targeted for increased hours and ongoing lines of work
  • Maintaining regular contact with the nurse database
  • Supporting the Senior Nurse Recruitment Consultant with the induction and orientation of new staff to the Recruitment Team
  • Supporting the Senior Nurse Recruitment Consultant with the collation of weekly KPI reports, attendance register, activity reports
  • Taking a proactive approach to the role in order to support the Recruitment Manager in providing fully compliant nurse and carer recruits to meet contracted and non-contracted demand at all times

Education / Qualifications / Knowledge       

  • Good level of basic education
  • Numerate & literate 
  • Current NMC registered Nurse or HPC registration             

 Skills / Training

  • Ability to organise and prioritise own work load
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to prepare management information
  • Good telephone manner
  • Strong IT skills                                                                   

 Experience

  • Ideally you will have some experience of recruitment / interviewing staff
  • Proven track record of solving queries in effective time scales
  • Extensive experience of working within theatres
