Clinical Risk Manager, SM1

Following a review of the Charity’s Quality and Governance support structures, we have created a number of new roles to ensure we maintain our focus on consistently delivering and evidencing exceptional quality care, as the growth of St Andrew’s continues.
Reporting to the Head of Safety, you will work alongside the Health and Safety Manager to ensure the Charity establishes and maintains the safety of service users, staff, the public, and visitors to St Andrew’s premises. Responsibilities for this post will encompass all areas of clinical risk management, including assaults, self harm and physical health risks. Also included is medication management, Infection control and safeguarding responsibilities.
Working with contracting team, you will ensure all commissioners’ requirements regarding reporting of “SUIs” are in place. You should have expertise in Root Cause Analysis, amongst other tools for learning lessons. You will manage a team which includes a Safeguarding Lead and Infection Control Nurse Advisors. You will work closely with Health and Safety, Pharmacy, local police liaison, amongst others. Finally, you will work to develop and manage a data base of clinical risk and treatment plans on the Charity’s Risk Register.
