A unique opportunity has arisen for an experience Infection Control Nurse to work for a leading private hospital group based in Buckinghamshire.
Being physically linked to the NHS building, a close working relationship has been built with the trust. The hospital boasts 31 acute care beds, 3 Theatres + 1 minor ops room, Radiology department and a Physiotherapy department
General Responsibilities:
• To contribute to the prevention, surveillance and investigation of infections for South Buckinghamshire Hospitals
• Take ownership of maintaining clinical competency and practice development
• Management of identified medical devices
• Chair the Hospital Infection Control Committee
• Provide training and support to the coordinators at a level suited to their responsibilities
• Work in collaboration with ward and laboratory staff on infection control surveillance, act upon findings and cascade data to relevant staff
Requirements:
• Eligible for NMC registration/registered
• Infection Control Degree or Diploma
• MSPP or equivalent desirable
• Acute medical or surgical nursing background
• Teaching and assessing competencies
