Health visitors play a vital role in promoting health, preventing illness and safeguarding children. They provide invaluable support to families with lasting effects. In recognition of this key role, the government has pledged to support the Health Visiting profession and are committed to increasing the number of Health visitors across London and the UK

A fully funded training opportunity to qualify as a Health Visitor is now open to all nurses and midwives as well as final year nursing students. The application window opened on 6th February 2012 at 17.00 (UK local time) and the window will close on 30th March 2012 at 17.00 (UK local time).

The programme entails studying at university whilst also working as part of a Health Visiting Team within the NHS. This is a salary supported role.

Through this single application process you can select to work at a number of London NHS organisations and study at a choice of six (6) London Universities.
